There are two mailing lists, a general one where questions, development and anything are fine. The other list is a moderated announce list which tends to be very low traffic.
You can subscribe at sourceforge mailing lists page. You might also be interested in Nabble - CGI:IRC general which has a more forum like interface.

What would an IRC program without an IRC channel be?
